June Meeting Roundup

In June we shared our favorite organization "thingies" and tools we can't live without. Here's a short list of the amazing tools we brought!

Needle Cases

1. DellaQ interchangable needle case (this link takes you directly to DellaQ, but many online knitting stores carry this brand of needle case. DellaQ makes other types of needle cases as well!)
2. Namaste circular needle case (scroll down to about middle of the page to see this accordion file style storage for your crazy mess of circulars!)
3. Grace's Cases interchangable needle case (this combination of materials really does make your needles secure--no slipping! no spilling out!)

Tools

1. The Knit Kit (a plastic device that fits in your palm that compactly stores a tape measure, folding scissors, stitch markers, crochet hook for fixing mistakes and a few more essential tools to have on the go!)
2. yarn bowl (pretty and useful--no more runaway yarn balls!)
3. smartphone (Leslie uses hers to take a picture of patterns, so she always has her pattern on the go! LeeAnn taught us that you can download patterns from your Ravelry libraries, and save them to your iBooks section of your iPhone to avoid needing to download them over and over and over)
4. niddy noddy (a device used to measure the yardage of an amount of yarn--great for determining your yardage of scraps! You can find online DIY tutorials to make one using PVC like LeeAnn has)
5. digital scale (an alternative way to determine how much leftover yarn you have!)

Organizers

1. Namaste Better Budy case (best part is the magnetized interior, so you can safely corral metal finishing needles and pins!)
2. Namaste Oh Snap! case (basically a mesh bag, but really cute colors! I like that it's see-through so you know what's in it)
3. Snap 'n Go notions case (perfect for corralling all your tiny stitch markers!)
