If you type in "knitting" in the books search on Amazon.com, you'll get
no less than 15,012 results. To say that finding a good knitting book is
a daunting task would be a major understatement! Not to
mention that there is nothing more disappointing than ordering a book
sight-unseen, and then realizing that there is really only one pattern
you want to knit out of it.
To make this search a little less overwhelming, we'll share our favorite
knitting, crocheting, and fiber books with each other this month. Take a
look at your current library, and bring your two favorite books to the
guild meeting. Be prepared to briefly explain why it is your favorite
with the group. (I also recommend writing your name inside your books to
ensure that each book gets back to its proper owner by the end of the
meeting!)
The
Golden Triangle Knitting Guild will hold its May meeting on Thursday, May 24 from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. in Room #204 of the First United
Methodist Church in Starkville (200 Lampkin Street). As always, newcomers are welcome!
Don't forget, if you won a door prize at the April guild meeting,
be sure to bring a door prize this month (remember, it should be only
worth $6 or less).
