June's Guild Meeting: Needle tasting!

Having the right needles can mean the difference between an enjoyable knitting experience, and a I-want-to-pull-my-hair-out in frustration knitting experience. But the options to choose from when it comes to needles are seemingly endless ... bamboo? acrylic? aluminum? nickle? rosewood? circular? straight? double-pointed needle? And don't even get me started on interchangables ... Knit Picks? Addi? Denise? Boye? Clover?

Especially if you're considering making the plunge and purchasing your first complete set of needles, the investment can be significant. This month will be your chance to try 'em before you buy 'em! Take a look at your current needle stash, and bring an assortment of your favorite and least favorite needles to the guild meeting. Bring some scrap yarn, and we'll spend the meeting chatting and "tasting" the different needles!

The Golden Triangle Knitting Guild will hold its June meeting on Thursday, June 28  from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. in Room #204 of the First United Methodist Church in Starkville (200 Lampkin Street). As always, newcomers are welcome! Don't forget, if you won a door prize at the May guild meeting, be sure to bring a door prize this month (remember, it should be only worth $6 or less).
