Mosaic Colorwork!
Have you ever wanted to try color work, but were scared off by the whole managing-two-yarns-at-once part of it? You'll LOVE mosaic knitting! Mosaic knitting utilizes slip stitches to create fun color work patterns--while only knitting with ONE color at a time! It's a technique I've admired for a long time, so I'm particularly excited to finally try it!
I'll bring several pattern options to this month's meeting for you to choose from:
A mosaic headband (pattern page on Ravelry) above, or a squirrel washcloth (Ravelry link) below.
Our March meeting will be held on Thursday, March 27 from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. in Room 204 of the First United Methodist Church in Starkville.
What to bring to this month's meeting:
- The headband calls for two different colors of fingering weight yarn (14g total)
- The washcloth calls for two different colors of worsted weight cotton yarn
- Size 2 needles if you're making the headband
- Size 7 needles if you're making the washcloth
- Your progress on our mystery knit-a-long scarf!
- Finished projects to show off and share!
- A door prize if you won one last month!
- $15 dues if you didn't pay them at the February meeting!
